The Old Bakery on 8th
The refurbished Old Bakery on 8th Gallery Cafe now has a unique ambience in which to enjoy tasty food, excellent coffee and fine art. Customers have a wide choice of comfortable settings: casual cafe courtyard, heated or cooled gallery rooms or sunny or shady rear garden.
Housed in an old bakery building in the 8th Ave precinct, the Gallery Cafe offers an attractive destination, easily reached by train, bus or car, just minutes from the Perth CBD.
Scrumptious breakfasts are served daily from 7.00am to 12noon. Lunch is served from 11.00am to 3.00pm and
there are tempting daily specials.
Cakes, slices and take-away rolls and pies are available from our display fridge. We cater for gluten
intolerance and other dietary needs.
Functions and Catering
The cafe can provide ideal catering for home, office, work-shops or on-site after-hours functions. The Gallery rooms and garden provide a great venue for birthdays, anniversaries or other special celebrations.

and displays throughout the year.

Monday Supper Club features live music and poetry with delicious food served in the cafe or, weather permitting, in the garden in summer months. We have welcomed the organisation of musician Jane Cornes and poet Flora Smith of these great monthly events and the positive response from audiences to the talented musicians and wordsmiths they have invited to perform. The Old Bakery on 8th Cafe supports with a selection of bread from the Woodfired Baker and a choice of three main meals, including a vegetarian dish.
Spring Sonnets Fundraiser
This was a successful event in the cafe garden on 20 October, supporting a local community group Soroptimist International Maylands Peninsula. Local talented poets and a musician contributed their time for an entertaining afternoon.
